![]() Don Schuy's Tiger 60 is his first airplane. ![]() Wings level and nose slightly up for a smooth landing. ![]() This is a photo of my BTE Flyin' King. It has an 80 inch wingspan and includes flaps. My photo isn't from the best angle, you can't see the top of the wing, so I'll be sure to get another photo before crash. I installed a generous 24 oz. fuel tank, which Randy thought was hilarious. Dad and I flew it for a 17 minute flight and still had near half the fuel left. It's has an OS 91 Surpass II four stroke that sound's ba-pa-ba-pa wonderfully like a Harley. The website banner image is done in white opaque Monokote using the technique described in this Monokote 301 YouTube video. I filmed the Flyin' King's maiden flight as piloted by my dad, John Schuy. The video is uploaded to YouTube.com and viewable by clicking the above. Bruce Tharpe watched the video on my invitation and had this to say... Hey Don, Information on the Flyin' King is available at the BTE website here. For good reason, BTE is considered legendary in the quality of their kits. I sure enjoyed building mine. |
